Falling Apart

When you think about breakups, you probably picture a girl sitting in front of her tv, eating ice cream and crying. Maybe she's still in her pajamas and hasn't been answering her phone. Dirty plates litter the room, empty water bottles and her beloved pet had long since given up on trying to cheer her up.

You don't picture said girl getting dressed up in brand new clothes, chatting up her friends and maybe even making new ones. You don't picture her still talking to her ex because that's just something that's not done. You're not supposed to continue talking to the guy that broke your heart!

But what if you do? What if the only reason a girl broke up with someone was because she knew in her mind that they needed to work on themselves individually before they could take the next step? And who even knows what this next step is when none of your goals even match?

What happens when that guy was the girls best friend, confidant, knew everything about her? Suddenly her thoughts, her dreams, her hopes and wishes... nothing seems right without him there. She must've spent almost four years nurturing a relationship she thought would be her last. But now she's alone and sits on her bed at night with her dog, wondering where everything went wrong because even though she's analyzed it six different ways, she still can't come up with an answer.

What do you tell a girl who feels as if they floor has fallen out from under her? Her rock, her support - just gone. What do you say to someone who feels so lonely, they wish they didn't exist anymore?
